Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Missy Project website (missyproject.com) or participating in any Missy Project program, workshop, session, or event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or participate in any offerings.

These Terms apply to all visitors, participants, clients, organizational partners, and anyone who submits an inquiry through this site.

2. About Missy Project

Missy Project is a community dance organization founded and operated by Maribel D. Flores. Missy Project provides movement-based programming, including but not limited to community workshops, virtual private sessions, mentorship cohorts, and corporate workshops, guided by the Choreographic Healing Framework (CHF).

Missy Project is not a licensed clinical therapy practice. Programs are not a substitute for mental health treatment, medical care, or psychological services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional.

3. Programs & Services

All programs and services offered by Missy Project are subject to availability and at the sole discretion of Maribel Flores. Program formats, schedules, locations, and structures may change without prior notice.

Community Workshops

Community workshops are offered on a rolling basis and may take the form of single-session pop-ups or multi-session series. Scheduling, location, and availability are determined by Missy Project. Registration does not guarantee participation if capacity is reached.

Virtual Private Sessions

1:1 virtual sessions are arranged directly with Maribel Flores. Session pricing, scheduling, and format are confirmed through direct communication prior to the session.

Mentorship Cohorts

Mentorship is offered as a cohort experience. Cohort composition, timing, and structure are determined at the discretion of Maribel Flores. Expressing interest does not guarantee placement in a cohort.

Corporate Workshops

Corporate workshop engagements are confirmed through direct agreement with the contracting organization. All terms specific to corporate engagements are established prior to the workshop dates.

4. Payments & Donations

Currently, most payment for Missy Project services is handled directly and offline. Any online payments or donations processed through this site are handled through secure third-party payment processors. Missy Project does not store payment card information.

All donations made to Missy Project are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise stated at the time of the transaction. Missy Project reserves the right to use donations at its discretion to further its community mission.

Pricing for all services is communicated directly with Maribel Flores prior to confirmation. Rates are subject to change. Any agreed-upon pricing is honored for the duration of that confirmed engagement.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations by participants must be communicated to Maribel Flores as soon as possible through agreed-upon contact channels.

Workshop & Pop-Up Sessions

For free community workshops, no payment is involved. Registered participants who can no longer attend are asked to notify Missy Project so their spot can be offered to others.

Paid Services

For paid private sessions, mentorship, or corporate engagements, cancellation and refund terms are established at the time of booking confirmation. Any refunds, partial refunds, or credits are at the sole discretion of Maribel Flores.

Cancellation by Missy Project

Missy Project reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify any program at any time. In the event of a cancellation initiated by Missy Project, registered participants will be notified and, where applicable, offered an alternative date or a full refund.

6. Participant Conduct

Missy Project is a trauma-informed, community-centered space. All participants are expected to engage with respect, care, and a commitment to the wellbeing of others in the space. Missy Project reserves the right to remove any participant from a program or session for conduct deemed harmful, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the values of the organization.

7. Health & Physical Participation

By participating in any Missy Project movement program, you affirm that you are physically able to engage in movement-based activities, or that you have disclosed any relevant limitations to Maribel Flores in advance.

Missy Project programs are designed to be accessible and trauma-informed. Participants are always encouraged to move within their own comfort and capacity. Missy Project is not liable for any injury, discomfort, or health-related outcome arising from participation.

If you are pregnant, recovering from injury, or have a health condition that may affect your participation, please communicate this before your session.

8. Minor Participants

Missy Project welcomes participants of all ages. For participants under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent prior to participation in any Missy Project program. By registering a minor, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of that participant.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Missy Project website — including but not limited to written copy, imagery, the Choreographic Healing Framework name and methodology, logos, and brand materials — is the property of Maribel Flores and Missy Project. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of any Missy Project content without written permission is prohibited.

10. Photography & Media

Missy Project may photograph or record sessions and workshops for documentation, promotional, and archival purposes. By participating in a Missy Project program, you grant Missy Project permission to use your likeness in such materials, unless you communicate otherwise in writing prior to the session.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Missy Project and Maribel Flores shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, participation in any program, or reliance on any information provided.

12. Changes to These Terms

Missy Project reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this document. Continued use of the site or participation in programs following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
